Recent Avon Purchases || Review

Hey guys! So it's nearly Christmas and I'm super excited! I've recently bought a few Avon products, and thought I'd review and share them with you, because they are all great for a Christmas look!

First is the Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad in the colour Stone Taupes. Well first of all the packaging of this product is so nice and elegant, and the best feature, in my opinion, is the numbering system. Each of the four shades has a number, and this relates to whereabouts you put it on the eyelid. This palette is a taupey/brown selection, which are perfect for everyday looks - because they aren't just plain nudes - but also can be worn more heavily for a more smokey look. Overall I really lie this product as I makes creating eyeshadow looks really easy, and the colours suit dark features really well.

Then is the Avon Kohl Eyeliner in True Black. I really like this product because it's easy to use when I don't have time (or wake up early enough) to do gel eyeliner. One end is a matte black eyeliner pencil, and the other is a smudger. Together they make a really nice needy eyeliner, which is really effortless.

Last is the Avon Irresistibly Sexy Sultry Lip Pencil in the shade Red Vixen. This is basically a really deep burgundy-red lip stick. It comes as a thick pencil so is really easy to apply and has quite a matte finish, which I really like. I've also found that it has really good staying power, and doesn't smudge at all, and easily lasts all day. I literally love this product and have been wearing it all the time!

So yeah they are my recent Avon purchases and favourite products at the minute. Hope you enjoyed reading!

e.l.f Cosmetics Haul || Autumn Makeup

Hey guys! So I recently ordered a massive box of makeup from e.l.f (eyes, lips, face) cosmetics because they had a 50% sale off. Their products are really good value anyway, but I just couldn't resist getting some autumn makeup!

First I got a few brushes from their normal and professional range.

The first is the Professional Eyelash & Brow Comb. I absolutely love this beause I normally use just an eyebrow comb, but this is so much quicker and easier, and also blends in eyebrow powder filler really nice and naturally. So yeah this is definitely worth it and I'll be using it everyday from now on.
Then I got the Small Angles Brush, and I've found this to be perfect for applying eyeliner. It's super thin which means you can get a really tiny line, and it's the best eyeliner brush I've got and I love it.
Next is the Professional Eye Crease Brush, and this is my favourite brush at the minute. It's the exact size of the crease of your eyelid and so is perfect for running eyeshadow through the lid. It's quite a flat top brush, but the actual shape looking down onto it is a very small circle, and this makes it a perfect eyeshadow brush.

Then I got some of their lipsticks in the shades Voodoo and Sociable.

Voodoo is a dark red, burgundy shade that applies really nicely, and Sociable is a bright, berry pink. Both of these lipsticks have a lovely texture, soft and creamy but they stick very well, but the best thing is the smell. They're really fruity and fresh and ah they just smell good! The only negative I'd have is the the tubes are quite stiff to twist up, and because they don't twist all the way down, I keep on catching the too of the bullet on the lid. But apart from that thumbs up all round.

Next I got the Contouring Blush & Bronzer in the shade Turks Caicos.

I was initially attracted to this combination because all summer I've been wearing a quite bright pink blushes, and just thougt this would be a nice transition into more dark, autumnal colours. The blush is a shimmery, muted peach tone, and the bronzer is a shimmery, orange-brown. The bronzer is really good and you only need a little to contour with, and the blush is really natural. Both of the shades look really nice together, and you can add more to go from a wearable daytime look, to a more dramatic look.

Next is the High Definition Undereye Setting Powder in Sheer.

This stuff is literally amazing, my favourite product of the haul by far. Basically it's a really thin, translucent setting powder, and you put it on top of a creamy, Undereye concealer, to make it last all day. I really lovethis because it really blends your concealer into your foundation, and makes under the eyes super soft all day.

Then we have the Cream Eyeshadow, and I hav the colour Dawn.

Firstly, I really lie the packaging of the eye products, I think they look really good, but the actual hole for the product is quite small. This product is really good. It's a shimmery gold cream eyeshadow, which I've been loving as a base for a smoky eye look. It goes really well with deep reds, browns and bronzes, so makes the perfect colour for blending.ot also lasts really well and stays shimmery for a long time.

Lastly is the Single Eyeshadow in the shade Amethyst.

I absolutely love this because I think it's really dark and autumnal, but also really wearable. It's a dark reddy-brown shadow with tiny specks of gold glitter. It applies practically the same shade as in the case, but when blended out it turns slightly bronzer. I just really love this shade as you can wear it with lots of different looks.

So yeah, I hope you liked my e.l.f Haul because I really do like the products. They're so good for the price they are, and I'd really recommend trying them out!

Barry M Matte Nail Paint || Review

Hey guys!
So recently it was my birthday, and one of the first things I had to buy was the new Barry M Matte Nail Paints because to be honest, what more could you want in an autumn nail varnish?!

I have the colours (from left to right) Crush, Vanilla and Espresso, and I literally cannot explain my love for these. They are all highly matted shades, my favourite being the nude-cream colour. The deep, burgundy red shade is really good, and the black is perfect to match any outfit.

All three colours are really good for autumn, and you only need two coats to get a decent finish. They last very well and I've literally worn them everyday since buying them.
I cannot rave enough about these nail varnishes, and them being Barry M is just even better. They are my new obsession and I will be buying more pretty soon! Thanks for reading!

Holiday Essentials || July Favourites

So I recently got back from the beautiful Paphos in Cyprus where I had the most amazing holiday ever! Ah it was so beautiful. But whilst I was away I thought of doing a mix between a sort of 'Holiday Must-Haves' and a July Faves because I haven't posted in SO long!

So these are the products which I have been absolutely loving whilst on holiday/in July!

First we have the Superdrug Solait Maxi Bronzer in Golden Glow.

It's basically a huge bronzing powder which I use to contour. I was initially drawn to this bronzer as it is matte and has no shimmer which is what I wanted, to get a more natural look. But I love this product because it works well, stays on for a long time, and because it is a Superdrug own brand, it's really cheap!

Next we have Batiste Dry Shampoo in the scent Tropical.

I've been using Batiste dry shampoo for ages and thought I would try the tropical scent for holiday, and whilst it isn't my favourite smell (it's very coconutty), I'd still highly recommend dry shampoo to anyone as its so easy to use and has such great effects.

Next is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer.
I decided to get this concealer after much hype from the beauty YouTubers and I'm so glad I did! It's so creamy and doesn't crease during the day, and also gives such great coverage and is definitely going to be a must have product from now on.

Then we have the Avon Nailwear Pro+ nail varnish in the shade Coral Reef.

I wore this colour everyday whilst on holiday purely because its such a great, bright, summery colour. Even though it didn't necessarily last for ages, the colour certainly makes up for any negatives. It is just a nearly neon coral which is just perfect for summer!

Next is the Loreal Studio Matt & Messy Salt Spray.

This is such a good pick me up during the day when your hair is looking a bit limp. It says to use it on damp hair but using it on dry hair also gives a nice tousled look.

Lastly isn't a beauty favourite, but an author that I read non-stop by the pool, and that is Dan Brown.

He wrote the book which was turned into the film 'The Davinci Code', and he basically writes sci-fi, mystery, thriller novels. I think the reason that I like these books so much is that something happens on one page, and then there's a twist on the next, and you just can't put them down. They aren't what I'd call a 'light' read, but they are te sort of book that you really get into and start to wonder if it could happen in real life. So yeah loving these books at the moment!

Thank you for reading, even though its been a bit of a mosh mash post between Holiday and July Faves, I promise to start posting more regularly from now on!

Airport/Duty Free Haul!

Hey guys!
I've just got back from holiday to the beautiful Pathos in Cyprus which is why there hasn't been a post in a while, but I thought I would start back with a haul about the things I bought from the duty free area of the airport.

Ok so the first two items I got whilst actually in the airport, the first being MAC Glaze Lipstick in the shade Hue.

I was so excited to get this because it is my first ever MAC Lipstick! The colour is a very pale pinky-nude shade which I first about about from a Tanya Burr video, and I got it so that I could wear it quite often as its a very neutral shade. But yeah so far I love it so much because it's so soft and moisturising and I my MAC Lipstick obsession has begun!

Next I came across an OPI stand and I literally had to get a nail varnish so I bought the OPI Nail Laquer in Feelin' Hot-Hot-Hot.

Firstly I'd like to say well done to whoever comes up with the names for all of the colours because I was stood there in the airport just reading them and laughing. But anyway I got this colour purely because I thought it was very summery and bright, and I know that OPI varnishes last a long time, so I have no doubt ill love this.

Next there was the duty free trolley on the plane which had different and exclusive items to the travel company. The first thing I got was the Bourjois Make-Up Kit Everyday Chic

Ok, so this is basically a make up set which contains different items to create a look. This particular set contains the Effet 3D Lip Gloss in the shade 01 Beige Elastic, and this is a really nice nude-shimmery gloss that is supposed to last for 8 hours. I've tried it a few times and it tastes really nice, and I also think it will go well with the MAC Lipstick.
Then there is a Khol & Contour Pencil which is such a good idea. It has two pencik ends, one a 'shadow' end for water lines etc. and the second is the 'light' end which has an illuminator for under the brows and highlighting.
Next is the Smoky Eyes Eyeshadow Trio which is a little palette of a black, dark brown and light nude eyeshadow which can be used together to create a subtle smoky eye. I love these eyeshadows because they are really smooth and apply well to the lid.
And lastly is the Ultra Shine Nail Enamel in the colour 28 Rose Lounge. It's a baby/pastel pink shade which is very nice on tanned hands and really, quite an all year round colour.
So yeah this whole kit is very useful since its and everyday look that can be achieved using these products which I think is so great.

Lastly I got the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

Now I've heard lots of beauty YouTubers absolutely raving about this palette and so couldn't resist buying it! It has a mixture of different nude to brown shades which all obviously go really nicely together, but I've yet to try many looks so I will maybe do another post with my favourite combinations. But yeah so far, this palette looks very nice and I'm very excited to use it!

Avon Glow Nailwear Pro+ || Review

Hey guys!
Ok so I say this as seriously as possible but this nail varnish is my ultimate favourite at the moment (and that doesn't come easily, so well done Avon!).

So it's the Avon Glow Nailwear Pro+ nail enamel in one of the new summer shades Coral Beat. Ah I can't even describe how beautiful this colour is! It's the perfect coral, bright, summery colour that is quite orangey, however that stronger orange tint makes your hands look extremely tanned.
The one negative I would say is that it isn't the most long lasting nail varnish, and I found that it started to chip after a few days, yet it still didn't put me off due to the amazing colour.
It is also really pigmented, and even though I used two coats, you could definitely get away with just one.
So yeah, in general this is my summer must-have nail varnish and has first place in my holiday suitcase!

This is a product by Avon and if you do not receive Avon Brochures then either contact me or go to the Avon website and 'find a representative' that lives close to you!

June Favourites 2013!

Hey guys, so this is my June Favourites, summer is coming so fast, and so all of my favourites have a place in your summer handbag!
Ok so my first June Favourite is the Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion.
I'm loving this at the moment because when I come to use it before I go to bed, it feels so nice and cold on my face even though its just been sitting on my shelf the whole day. I use it to remove my makeup (after using eye makeup remover) and it just is so nice and moisturising as well as doing a good job.

Then I chose the Sleek oh so special Eyeshadow Palette.
I originally got this because I was planning to use the gold and coral colours for my prom, but after trying it out a few times, I am absolutely in love with it! These colours are just beautiful. There are some pale pinks, nudes and browns but also some sparkly shades and then towards the end a few darker and matte colours. My favourite combo at the moment is having Ribbon all over the lid with Wrapped Up blended into the crease creating a shadow, with Bow on the inner corners as a highlight. This is such a good look for a summer evening and the eyeshadow are so soft and blend so nicely. Massive thumbs up for this palette!

Ok so next is my favourite lip duo which is the Rimmel Apocalips in 500 Luna with the Avon Colortrend Lipstick in Doll Pink.
Now these two shades on their own are very bright. The Apocalips is a muted orange colour and the Avon one is very bright fushcia pink - very similar to Mac Candy Yum Yum. However I love these colours when blended together because they make the best coral-pink colour which is perfect for summer, and this combination lasts so long whilst still feeling soft.

Then we have the Avon Angled Blusher Brush.
This brush is amazingly perfect for contouring and blush because the angle allows you to have the perfect sweep of your cheeks, and because of the quite thick density of the bristles, it means you pick up enough on the brush to use without wasting as much. I love this brush and will be taking it with me everywhere from now on in case of touch up emergencies!

Lastly we have the Limited Edition Barry M Nail Paint in the colour A(?!)
I'm not sure of the exact colour name because it only says A but basically if you go into a boots/superdrug shop then there's an offer which you get this free if you spend a certain amount of money. So I didn't actually intentionally buy this nail varnish, I got if for free, but I'm very glad I did! It's a slightly muted neon pink colour which I think is perfect for holidays or festivals as its very bright but not too extreme. I'd definitely recommend getting this for your summer.

Ok so I hope you liked my June Favourites so like and follow for more beauty posts!

Tropic Skincare || Brow Kit

Hey guys, ok so I recently received my Tropic Skincare Brow Kit which consists of a Brow Define, a Brow Stencil Set and the A1 Brow Brush.
Tropic Skincare is an all organic range of makeup from The Apprentice runner-up Susan Ma who got backing from Lord Sugar after appearing on the show to help found this amazing range. It's completely chemical free and all of their products aren't tested on animals so everything is very nice and friendly.
Before now I've tried their Skincare products but they recently introduced a new makeup range and so couldn't resist trying the brow kit.
First is the Brow Define which is a mini-palette which has two parts. The first is a dark brown powder which is used for filling in the brows, and then there is the creamy, pale highlight which is used under the brows. I love this so far because it is the perfect colour for my brows and when you brush it in, it looks so natural.
Next is the accompanying brush that is double-ended, so more for your money (?!). The first, business end is the angled brush which is specifically for filling in your brows to achieve a natural look. The second end is a fluffy brush which is for the highlight. This brush is so soft and really good for doing your brows with.
Last is the Brow Stencil Set which personally I don't think I will use very much, but everything came in a offer so I've got them anyways. They are basically sheets which you place over your eyebrow to get the right shape. They are very good and have 4 different shapes, so I'm sure there will be one that suits everyone.

Overall I love this Brow Set, and even though its not exactly the cheapest you can find, I think that it's totally worth the money because of all its good properties and high quality, and also I think that's its one of those products that will last for ages and I will still love it all year round!

Models Own Scented Nail Varnish

Hey guys, so as you may have seen in my recent haul I bought the Models Own Scented Nail Varnish in Banana Split. It's a pastel yellow nail varnish with a scented lid and is a really nice colour for summer.

I was super excited to try this because on the top, as you can see, there is a scratch & sniff panel which, once scratched, smells of really sweet bananas! I think if smells of like banana milkshake and its absolutely delicious woo!
As I painted my nails it was really nice. Due to the very pale colour it needed two coats but looks really nice on, and I think it's a perfect colour for summer!
To begin (after it dried) it did smell a bit like bananas but I don't think it lasted very long so if you want an actual scented polish then I wouldn't suggest getting this, but if you want a pastel, summery colour, then try these out because the whole range is gorgeous!

I really love these nail varnishes and even if you don't buy one, definitely go and scratch all the lids in the shops because they are SO nice!

Avon Haul! || Brochure 10

Hey guys!
Ok so today is one of my favourite days because my Avon order arrived (woo!). And surprisingly I didn't buy any nail varnishes (!) but I do have my eye on a few in the next few campaigns! So yeah I thought I'd show you what I got from this months Avon.

First thing I am VERY excited about using because it a completely new product to Avon and I actually haven't seen one like it anywhere else.
It is the Avon Manicure Set and is basically an electronic nail device which has four different heads that you slot in, and when you switch it on, they spin round really fast so when you put it to your nail it just works. The four heads are (from left to right above) a Flat Emery Tool for shaping and filing nails, a Buffer Tool which polishes nails to a natural shine, a Stone Tool to flatten and smooth thick nails and rippled surfaces, and a Diamond Tool for shaping/contouring nails and removing dead skin around the cuticle.
Now I've only briefly tried this out but so far so good! It works really well and also looks really professional because it comes in a little case. The only bad thing is that I didn't realise it didn't come with a battery but obviously it's not hard to go out an buy one, because I definitely think it is worth it!

Next is a 100ml tub of Avon Care Rich Moisture Nourishing Face Cream.
So I bought this because my other moisturiser has run out and I think this one was on offer for half price or something, so was really cheap. First of all, it smells AMAZING! It smells really fresh and clean and ah yeah just really nice and summery. Also it is really thick but it sink in really fast so it doesn't sit on the skin for ages. Yeah I really like this product because I apply it at night and when I wake up in the morning my skin feels nice and hydrated.

The next product I am very excited to try and it is the Avon Clearskin Professional Blemish Mark Treatment.
So this is a spot treatment which helps to encourage growth of new skin around a blemish. It says use 2-3 times a week so I will try it out and then review it later. It smells really nice and has a little roller-ball applicator for easy use. So yeah fingers crossed it works because it means that spots will disappear really quickly!

Next is another new product from them which is the Avon Nail Wraps in True Zebra.
So I've tried some nail wraps before by other brands and really liked them so couldn't resist trying these out. This was the simplest design I thought and I think that some weren't very appealing to me but maybe they're aimed at a younger market, I don't know. But yeah they look really nice and you get 18 wraps in each packet so if one comes off you can reapply it, but yeah I will post when I put them on to show what they're like.

Finally is lipstick. For some reason I always end up buying new lipsticks from Avon even though I have loads already but oh well! So this time I got Avon Colour Style Lipstick in Palest Pink and then the Avon Colortrend Kiss'n'Go Lipstick in Wild Plum.
So the first, pink lipstick I know I will love because I already have a few of these lipsticks which I have reviewed before in my Avon Favourites Post. They are mini lipsticks that are super cute and are also really moisturising and I absolutely love these lipstick and wear them everyday. I chose a very pale pink colour because its very neutral but also girly and it has a slight shine in it so I thought that it would be good for summer.
The second lipstick is very different! It's a very plum colour which I bought because I thought I'd be a bit adventurous because I don't own a colour as dark as this. From the looks of it I will love this lipstick because, as you can see from the swatch, it isn't overly pigmented so you can build up layers depending on how dark you want it. It is also so soft and doesn't settle into the little wrinkles of your lips. So yeah really like this so far!

Well thank you for reading I hope you enjoyed it, and if you want to order any products from Avon then go to the website and select Find Your Representative, then you can order products from Avon for yourself!

May Favourites 2013!

Woo this is my first favourites post!! Exciting stuff!
Ok so these are all the things that I've been loving during the end of spring/start of summer period.

First is the Soap and Glory: The Righteous Butter and this is basically a thick body butter.
So I've been loving this because now it's beginning to be more summery you want to keep your legs nice and soft to prevent then from drying up in the sun, and I think that this body butter is just so moisturising and also smells really good!

Next is Avon Planet Spa Chinese Ginseng Revitalising Eye Pads.
So I love these because now the pollen is coming out, I can often wake up with puffy eyes from hayfever and these are just brilliant for that! You just get two pads and put them over your eyes for like 5 minutes and then after your eyes feel so awake an soft and yeah these are just really nice!

Next is the Real Techniques Foundation Brush.
As you can see from the picture it is an angled buffer brush but is just so nice for applying foundation because it gives a really even coat and the brush is just so soft ah I love it!

Then we have Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish in the colour Thimbleberry.
Now you guys know how much I love nail varnishes and at the minute this is my favourite. It's a pinky-coral colour so it's perfect for summer and also I think it makes your hand look really tanned! Another thing is that it stays on for quite a while but for something like £1.99 you can't really go wrong!

Lastly is my Avon Colortrend Lip Balm in Juicy Raspberry.
Now I absolutely love this and take it everywhere with me at the minute because it makes your lips so soft but also it tastes and smells SO good! It actually smells of raspberries and just tastes amazing!

So yeah I hope you enjoyed my first ever monthly favourites post, and comment below and follow for more!

Drugstore Haul! ~ Boots/Superdrug

SHOPPING! Yay I love shopping! But yeah back to the point I went shopping last weekend and thought I'd share the things I picked up.

First I picked up the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in the shade 100 Ivory. I've been wanting to buy this for ages and finally did and I do love this so much! I've been using it everyday and it gives a good coverage and feels so soft on the skin. The only thing that I don't like is that it has glitter in which you can't normally see but in the sun my face looks really glittery which I haven't warmed up to yet.

Next I got the Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder in the shade 001 Transparent. I use this as a setting powder over the foundation and it really does ensure that the makeup lasts for a long time so thumbs up for this.

Then I picked up the Collection Pressed Powder in 18 Ivory and I got this in such a pale colour because I've been looking for a matte highlighter but haven't found one I like yet so I saw this and thought I could use it for a highlight and it actually works really well! It's quite pigmented so you have to be light on the brush but in general it's a good product.

Next I got the Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra Flex Mascara in Black. I was initially sceptical about this product because it looks quite thick on the wand, but having tried it a few times I actually like it. It is a very good lash separator and volumiser and doesn't leave your lashes like thick or clumpy; they feel nice and light.

Finally, yes you can guess it, nail varnishes! Well in Superdrug there was a three for two offer so I couldn't resist buying some new nail varnishes! First on the left is Models Own Scented Varnish in Banana Split. Oh my this stuff is amazing! Basically there is a whole range of scented nail varnishes which all have different flavours and they all have a scratch and sniff panel on the top! So when you paint your nails, they will also smell of the corresponding fruit!! So yeah absolutely love this because it smells of banana milkshake!

Then I got the Sinful Colors Professional Varnish in 1171 Sweet Nothing. Basically I've only seen this new brand in Boots once before and bought a few colours to try out and they are quite good value for money. They don't last for that long before chipping, but for like £1.99 it's a great price for a nail polish. Also they have similar sized bottles to OPI polishes so you get quite a lot of actual varnish in there!

Lastly I got the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in 308 Pomegranate. Now I am totally in love with this range and have quite a few already! They are so thick and shiny and do feel like a gel polish. I just love this range so much and needed another to add to my collection and decided to chose this colour as actually it matches the colour of my prom dress so I thought I could paint my nails this colour or prom.

So yeah this was my drugstore haul, I hope you enjoyed it. Comment below and follow for more beauty posts!
